A romantic evening in Milan

by Matilde

Romantic Milan

Miano knows how to be very romantic thanks to panoramic terraces and hidden corners to the most surrounded by climbing plants and fragrant jasmine.

Here is an itinerary to spend a wonderful evening in Milan!

Ape Time

18.00 – it’s time for the aperitif , a typical Milanese ritual of the weekend but also of the week. You can jump on the rooftops of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in search of some event; usually evenings include an aperitif or a cinema on the roofs. In any case, the view on the Piazza del Duomo of Milan is guaranteed and at sunset time via torino is really beautiful! In Duomo and surroundings you will find many other terraces such as Terrazza Aperol (teaspoons overlooking the Duomo) or Terrazza Martini in the Missori area.

If you prefer to move away from the chaos you can drink something on the Ceresio 7 terrace with a view of the very elegant swimming pool of the restaurant.

If instead you have preferred a walk on the Navigli of Milan to the one in the Duomo you can not go through the alley of the Lavandai and the relative local Morgante Cocktail; a little expensive but worth it!

We talked about drinks in very nice locations with an average price of 10-15 euros . But can you spend less for a pre-evening?

In Darsena there are some places at affordable prices while Cascina Cuccagna near Piazzale Lodi is a small green oasis in Milan, well cared for down to the last detail.

If you are looking for a restaurant, my advice is Al Garghet ; atmosphere and magic all year round in the Milanese cuisine restaurant! A magical place to eat a good Thai is Shambala even if the average price is quite high.

At the lake in Milan

I will be honest; I’ve never tried to go there in the evening! But if you want the lake in Milan there are small lakes that are about 10min from Milan and among which we remember the one in Buccinasconear the Pianeta Verde restaurant.

Here’s how it looks though at sunset

Lake in Milan

If you prefer modernity and skyscrapers, the undisputed stage is that of Piazza Gae Aulenti between its modern buildings and style stores, a mix of shopping, culture and food; a nice grom ice cream and a walk in the adjacent park definitely not to be missed as well as a visit to the library along with a good glass of wine! Water games and music will do the rest.

Good evening!
